World’s first Java-enabled multi-standard Mobile TV phone demonstrated at IBC 2008
- Axel Technologies, Inventec Appliances Corporation and RollTech Technology Co., Limited form strategic business alliance to further mobile TV development
Amsterdam, September 15th, 2008 – Axel Technologies, Inventec Appliances Corporation (IAC) and RollTech Technology Co., Limited (RollTech) have formed a strategic business alliance to advance the development of Mobile TV business. The parties have jointly developed a Java-based solution to target operators and mobile device manufacturers.
The world’s first Java-enabled multi-standard mobile TV phone is demonstrated at IBC exhibition in Amsterdam today. The IAC S875 Windows Mobile phone together with Axel’s Mobile TV Middleware and User Interface, and RollTech’s Java Virtual Machine (JVM) enables a unique Mobile TV user experience through Java-based services. The new phone supports HSDPA streaming technology and DVB-H IPDC and OMA BCAST Mobile TV broadcast standards.
