Petri Kalske (born 1973), the CEO and founder of Axel Technologies Oy, has a strong background in technology and communication business.At Axel Mr. Kalske is responsible for overall strategic and operational management of the company as well as new business development. Mr. Kalske is also a member of the company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Kalske has been working in DVB technology area for nearly ten years and prior to that he held several positions in the field of communication, marketing and advertisement. The last seven years Mr. Kalske has worked in managerial positions, being accountable for business development, sales and project management.

Mr. Kalske studied Political Science (Major), Communications and Economics in the University of Turku. He has also accomplished additional studies in marketing and advertisement.

 

 

H_PietilaHarri Pietilä, CTO, Ph.D.

Harri Pietilä (born 1967), CTO of Axel Technologies, is an appreciated authority in the mobile TV industry. He is co-founder and key technical leader of Axel Technologies, where his main responsibilities are to lead the research and development as well as to make future forecasts of the mobile TV industry.

Dr Pietilä’s fingerprints can be found in all Axel’s multistandard mobile TV products, and prior to his current position at Axel Technologies, Dr Pietilä has worked in a various technical and management positions, such as Production Manager and Senior System Architect.

Dr Pietilä holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Astronomy) degree from the University of Turku, Finland. He also has Master of Science degree in Theoretical Physics.

 

 

 

M_KoponenMarkku Koponen, VP Sales

Markku Koponen (born 1968), Vice President Sales, joined Axel Technologies in 2006. Mr. Koponen has been in the IT and Telecommunications industry for over 10 years and his proficiency in business development and sales is of great excellence.
 

Mr. Koponen has worked in several managerial roles during his career, the last assignment prior to Axel being EMEA Business Development Manager at HP Invent. Prior to HP, Mr. Koponen worked at Radiolinja and Omnitele, where he was responsible for international business and strategy development as well as customer relationships.

Mr. Koponen holds M.Sc. in Engineering (Computer Science/Telecommunications) from Lappeenranta University of Technology. He was also recognized with HP Breakaway selling diploma in 2005-2006.
